
Supply list:
2/3 yard fabric (body of pillow case)
1/3 yard coordinating fabric (header)
2 inches second coordinating fabric (trim)
(44" fabric width)
Instructions:
(selvages will be trimmed off later)
Fold trim in half lengthwise -right side out, matching raw edges evenly. Press. Set aside.
Lay header fabric out horizontally -right side up.
Lay body on header fabric -right side up, matching raw edges evenly.
Lay trim on body fabric matching raw edges evenly.
Next roll opposite end of body up close to the folded edge of trim.
Bring opposite end of header up and over the body and trim and pin the raw edge along the raw edges of the body, trim, and original end of the header.
Pin all along the edge making sure the edges are evenly matched.
Sew along the edge making sure the edges are evenly matched.
Next turn header right sides out, unrolling the body of the pillow case. Press.
At this point the pillow case is ready to sew the side and end seam.
Trim off selvage and even up pillow case edges as needed.
Fold pillow case in half, selvages together, right sides out, carefully matching the seams and sew with a 1/4" seam along edge and end.
Turn pillow case inside out and sew edge and end using a 1/2" seam allowance. (covering up the 1/4" seam previously sewn)
Turn right side out and press.
